FAQ: your questions about voice-over
What do I need to provide for the recording?
First of all, to start, I need the validated text, with any indications on the pronunciation of proper names, or technical words that I might not know. Also, don’t hesitate to tell me what you would like my voice to sound like. If you’ve heard something you particularly liked in my demos, let me know and I’ll use it as inspiration for your project.
What are the rates?
The price depends on a number of factors. How will the voice be used? Where will the message be broadcast? How long will the video last? How well known is the client? So many questions, so many different voiceover rates! Don’t hesitate to ask me for a quote, providing as much information as possible about your project. I’ll be happy to provide you with a personalised quote tailored to your needs.
How quickly will I be delivered?
For ‘standard’ requests (radio/TV spots, videos of up to 3 minutes, etc.) I generally deliver my voice-overs within 24 to 48 hours. For more urgent or larger-scale projects, please contact me by email. I will do my utmost to meet your deadlines, depending on my availability.
What sound quality can I expect?
My voice overs are sent in .wav format, or .mp3 on request. The file is delivered cleaned (mouth noises between words, breathing…) and raw (without any processing), so that you can then produce it as you wish. Professional home studio, high-quality of sound.
I'd like to attend the meeting, is that possible?
Absolutely! If so, we’ll arrange a meeting on Source Connect, SessionLinkPro or Zoom, and you’ll be able to watch the session live in the studio, as if you were there! This will give you the opportunity to tell me live what your instructions and expectations are as regards the interpretation of the text, the speed of my voice or the tone you want to give to your message.
Where is the studio located?
I’m based in France, in Loire-Atlantique, near Nantes.
So it’s easy for me to travel to Nantes or even Rennes for your voice over recordings in a professional studio.
Paris is also within easy reach by train from Nantes station.
From Nantes airport, I can travel to London, Rome, Barcelona or even Montreal, to meet you and come in your studios!
Finally, I’m also available anywhere in the world, from my home studio, via Skype.

It’s true that it’s always easier to get an idea when you listen to the audio of your own text, in keeping with the tone and intention you want to convey.
The script is translated, and I'm not sure that the translation is correct. What can I do?
That’s the whole point of entrusting the recording of the script to a French female voice-over artist. I could also offer you a translation correction service, so that your text is clearly understandable and the expressions used make sense in French. However, I do not translate texts from a foreign language. What I need is a French script that has been translated correctly. If necessary, I will simply change a few details to get the translation just right.
Is it possible to get a voiceovers in a language other than French?
I’m convinced that, with the exception of a few very specific projects, nothing beats a voice-over artist whose mother tongue is the one you want. That’s why I only record in French, even though I speak Italian well and can record a few sentences with a Frenchy touch!
If you have a multilingual voice over project, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’ll be happy to lend you my expertise on the French side and refer you to a female voice-over colleague or a male voice actor whose mother tongue is a foreign language.
